Acceptable Behavior

Today I was at church and all I wanted to do as I sat in my classes was pull out my own book and read. I know that such behavior is not smiled upon. I couldn't help it. I wanted to read. I always want to read, that is nothing new or surprising.
I do realize that sitting in Relief Society and reading Rhett Butler's People would be a silly thing to do. I just wished it was acceptable behavior today.

Zigazig, ha

Everyone has guilty pleasures-- movies, books, music, tv shows that you are embarassed to admit you like. Everyone has them. One of my long-time guilty pleasures is the Spice Girls. I love their music, their movies, their personas. I love it all. That is my confession. Now that I have opened that confessional door I will come all the way clean:
Last night as I was falling asleep I was struck with desire to listen to the Spice Girls. Luckily I am able to download music directly to my new iPod touch. I was able to fall asleep listening to Headlines--the new come back single. What a happy time to live! I need to find out how to get to their reunion concert! If anyone is interested just let me know. I would jump at the chance. For now I will settle for Spice World the movie

Classic Spice Girls.

The video is not my favorite, but still exciting to have some new Spice Girls.

Maiden Voyage

Today I taught my seventh graders a lesson about writing with a purpose. We read about boy in Connecticut who used his political blog postings to wield some some muscle. I don't imagine that anything I will ever write here will have that same affect; however, I got to thinking about how it is high time I join the blogging craze.
I am sure that the day to day details of my life do not make for much of an exciting read--but I do have things to say occasionally.

So, here it goes. Blog officially launched.
